About The Position

Performs assigned MAC Program functions based on contractual duties. This role requires an individual to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and stop at-risk behaviors in others and self. The technician will work with other employees in a team to complete assignments, perform repetitive tasks, maintain a clean work area, and follow all company procedures, policies, and rules. They will take direction, respond to supervision, and communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers. The role may involve filling in during staff shortages (e.g., custodial, recycle, maintenance), supporting shift leads in completing punch-list items, and using proper personal protective equipment. A professional appearance and conduct are expected, along with an understanding of customer service and satisfaction, reporting systems, and the environment. The technician will operate motorized equipment, maintain daily upkeep of their assigned area, and read and implement blueprint and floor plan directions. They will perform office activities for the MAC program, stage items for daily operations and large projects, and complete work assignments in a timely manner. This includes utilizing appropriate chemicals and supplies, and using and maintaining equipment properly and safely, observing safety precautions at all times, and using safety signs like “wet floor.” The ability to work without normal supervision and report safety hazards is also required.

Requirements

  • No education requirement
  • 6 mo-1 year experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
  • Completed all safety and task training certification.
  • May be required to be forklift certified.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team.
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or listen.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
