Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a patient-facing, clinical setting.
• Prior postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
• Certifications: CCMA and/or RMA and/or CMA.
• Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Medical Assisting program.
• Manage the department using sound business principles.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures.
• Teach in his/her assigned discipline.
• Work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s).
• Serve as the lead administrator for the department.
• Responsible for faculty training and development.
• Coordinate and administer the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.
