About The Position

Our client is seeking a highly skilled M365 Migration Specialist to support the transition from legacy Microsoft Office environments (Office 2016) to Microsoft 365 across a large-scale enterprise user base (30,000 users). This role focuses on identifying, triaging, and remediating legacy dependencies—including Excel VBA macros, Office add-ins, and Microsoft Access databases—that may impact deployment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can work independently in a complex, fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with: Excel VBA (macros), Microsoft Office add-ins, Microsoft Access databases
  • Proven troubleshooting and debugging capabilities in complex environments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Experience supporting technical work within large enterprise environments
  • Comfortable working through ambiguous or evolving requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 migrations (especially from Office 2016 or earlier)
  • Understanding of legacy Office compatibility challenges
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for code analysis or remediation
  • Ability to operate effectively in iterative workflows requiring follow-ups and rework

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and remediate Excel VBA macros, Office add-ins, and Microsoft Access databases to ensure compatibility with M365
  • Perform technical triage of identified issues across end-user systems
  • Troubleshoot and debug legacy Office functionality impacting deployment
  • Collaborate with internal coordinators and analysts to prioritize and manage remediation efforts
  • Support iterative remediation cycles, including testing and validation with business stakeholders
  • Contribute to reducing the number of systems blocked from M365 deployment
  • Provide recommendations for modernization or replacement of legacy solutions
