About The Position

The M365 Power Platform Specialist will drive automation and improve access to information across our organization. This role focuses on designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Pages, Power BI, SharePoint, and Copilot (as well as other emerging AI or workflow tools) to streamline operations and optimize business processes. This person will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze workflows and deliver tailored, user-friendly solutions that leverage the latest AI tools and frameworks. A passion for staying on top of new developments in AI and the Microsoft ecosystem—and applying them to real-world business challenges is essential. The role requires a proactive individual who can transform business requirements into robust solutions, enhancing productivity and business processes. The M365 Power Platform Specialist will receive limited direction for day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects, tasks, or assignments. Will execute and assist team leadership on projects, tasks or assignments of complex scope. Will work independently or under limited supervision. This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Power Pages) and SharePoint Online
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-driven solutions, with a strong understanding of how to integrate AI capabilities
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
  • Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact
  • Ability to co-own projects and pieces of larger projects in their area completely
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technology
  • Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline in process
  • Minimum of five years of experience with IT or low code / no code software development

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze current business workflows and operational processes to design automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, and other relevant Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Integrate Copilot features and other cutting-edge AI frameworks into new or existing solutions to enhance usability and efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions align with best practices, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Stay current on the latest AI tools and frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, AI builder, GPT-based services) to evaluate their potential for improving organizational workflows.
  • Propose and implement solutions that leverage AI to streamline data access, automate repetitive tasks, and elevate the end-user experience.
  • Develop AI-driven agents or bots to tackle complex business challenges and deliver tangible results.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, document requirements, and deliver solutions that address those needs effectively.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff, ensuring alignment and buy-in across diverse teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for automation, AI, and SharePoint-related initiatives, offering guidance and training to end users as needed.
  • Utilize Power BI and other analytics tools to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into business processes.
  • Develop and maintain data models that help stakeholders track progress, measure success, and make informed decisions.
  • Continually optimize reporting solutions to promote clarity, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ongoing solutions in the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all implementations, configurations, and procedures for future reference and compliance.
  • Provide occasional after-hours or on-call support as needed to address critical issues.
  • Execute responsibilities in alignment with established timelines and budget constraints.
  • Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget
  • Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned
