About The Position

Are you ready to take the lead in coordinating essential technical equipment programs and keeping a dynamic fleet running smoothly? As the M&TE Coordinator / Fleet Car Manager, you’ll be at the center of planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of maintenance and equipment programs that keep the Oak Ridge site operating at its best. In this role, you’ll champion the Measuring & Test Equipment (M&TE) Program, oversee the Oak Ridge Fleet Maintenance Program, and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities across the site. You’ll manage equipment inventories with precision, ensuring full compliance with site procedures and NQA-1 quality requirements. Success in this role means seamlessly navigating asset management, procurement, and records systems while working collaboratively with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences OR a combination of technical training (military/vocational) with two years of related experience OR equivalent education and experience directly relevant to the role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience planning and coordinating equipment maintenance with contracted providers (calibration labs, automotive service centers, etc.)
  • Active “Q” or Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the full lifecycle of maintenance planning for Measuring & Test Equipment and the site’s vehicle fleet.
  • Scheduling calibrations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinating all on‑site and off‑site service activities.
  • Ensures inventories remain accurate and compliant with site procedures.
  • Communicates upcoming maintenance needs to equipment owners.
  • Supports cost‑effective planning by researching equipment requirements and resource availability.
  • Manages purchasing for repair services and materials.
  • Maintains all calibration and service records.
  • Supports the development of maintenance reports.
  • Contributes to creating and updating policies and work instructions.
  • Helps prepare daily and weekly maintenance schedules.
  • Completes other assigned tasks, with minimal travel required.
