About The Position
Rio Tinto is seeking several mechanics for current and future needs at its Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a team, perform diverse tasks that make a difference, and work in an outdoor, natural environment. Reporting to the maintenance supervisor and working a 3-2-2-3 shift schedule or day shift (depending on the facility), you will have the following responsibilities: Carry out preventive maintenance activities, Participate in diagnostics during various breakdowns, Contribute to the completion of mechanical projects, Apply the organization's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles.
Requirements
- Commitment to your safety and that of your team
- High school diploma (DES) or recognized equivalent
- Recognized TENS
- DEP in industrial and construction mechanics and/or DEP in electromechanics
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Good computer skills
- Good knowledge of plan reading
Nice To Haves
- DEC in mechanical engineering
- DEP in welding
- Experience in heavy mechanics
- Sense of responsibility and great autonomy
- Good adaptability and problem-solving skills
