About The Position

Wind River Environmental is a highly active acquirer in its space, completing over 50 acquisitions and continuing to execute 7-8 deals annually. This M&A Integration Manager role is a high-visibility position responsible for the execution and improvement of the integration process. The successful candidate will work directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure each acquisition achieves its full potential. This role is for an individual who wants to drive execution, build scalable processes, and make a measurable impact in a deal-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or M&A/integration roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working across teams and driving accountability without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Must reside within Wind River Environmental’s operating footprint across the East Coast.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central integration leader, responsible for translating deal strategy into execution across multiple concurrent acquisitions.
  • Own the end-to-end integration process from pre-close planning through post-close execution.
  • Drive Day 1 readiness and ensure smooth transitions for newly acquired businesses.
  • Manage multiple integrations simultaneously in a high-volume deal environment.
  • Coordinate across Operations, IT, HR, Finance, and Corporate Development.
  • Establish clear ownership, timelines, and accountability across all workstreams.
  • Lead integration meetings, track progress, and provide updates to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve integration speed, consistency, and outcomes.
  • Build and refine integration tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Help scale the company’s integration capabilities as acquisition activity grows.
  • Coordinate non-financial diligence across functional teams.
  • Identify operational risks and translate diligence insights into integration plans.
  • Support the alignment of systems, data, and operational processes.
  • Partner with IT and Finance to ensure clean transitions and reporting consistency.
  • Work closely with C-suite executives and senior leaders.
  • Build strong relationships with acquired company leadership teams.
