About The Position

FLSmidth is seeking a strong M&A Associate to support the execution of its global inorganic growth agenda. This is a hands-on role within a lean team, requiring direct involvement in live transactions. The candidate will be responsible for the full deal lifecycle, from initial analysis through due diligence, signing, and integration.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in Investment Banking (M&A), Corporate M&A, or advisory (Big 4)
  • Strong financial and accounting fundamentals
  • Practical transaction experience in end-to-end M&A processes (beyond preparing materials)
  • Fluent in English

Nice To Haves

  • LBO modeling experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and run financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, Comps; LBOs a plus)
  • Prepare clear, decision-oriented materials for senior management (investment cases, memos)
  • Manage IRLs and VDRs
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence (finance, legal, tax, IT, operations)
  • Work with external advisors and internal stakeholders
  • Identify key risks and value drivers early
  • Support offers (NBOs/LOIs), SPA process, and execution through closing
  • Contribute to integration planning
