About The Position

eMed is a pioneering digital health leader built on its Empathetic AI™ Population Health Platform. Our primary mission is to provide large employers, state/federal governments, unions, and payers with unique healthcare solutions aimed at reducing obesity, improving employee health, and lowering company healthcare costs. Our integrated GLP-1 medication weight management program utilizes state-of-the-art at-home blood collection kits and connected clinical telehealth services to screen, onboard, and manage qualified candidates, ensuring medication adherence and effective management of side effects through continuous telehealth support. The M&A Analyst will work with eMed's Senior M&A Analyst and VP, Finance on corporate development and M&A transaction processes, including developing valuation models and pro-forma financial statements, conducting market and competitive research, collecting and reviewing due diligence materials, and supporting post-closing variance analysis and benchmarking. From time to time, the M&A Analyst will support FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis in support of executive decision-making.

Requirements

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, manipulate, analyze, format, and present data within the application, including financial modeling and complex formulas.
Proficiency in DCF and comparable company valuations, M&A modeling, and complex transaction modeling, including building and maintaining comparable company and precedent transaction analyses across public and private markets.
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills for building board, investor, and diligence materials.
Experience applying AI tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok, to modeling and research workflows.
Effective communication and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of concurrent tasks efficiently, with the ability to present financial information to executive and non-financial audiences.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
1-3 years of work experience within M&A (buy-side or sell-side, transaction advisory services, or investment banking), corporate development, FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, or related analytical fields.

Responsibilities

Develop valuation models, comparable company and precedent transaction analyses, and pro-forma financial statements using internal and third-party financial, operational, and healthcare data.
Monitor public competitors, including earnings, KPIs, valuation metrics, private transactions and capital raises, and sell-side guidance.
Develop market and competitive research for domestic and international opportunities.
Collect, review, and organize diligence documentation, and present diligence findings and process updates internally.
Support transaction execution, including process management, term sheet and definitive agreement review, and post-closing variance analysis and benchmarking.
Summarize, format, and present models and analyses to peers, senior management, and third parties, including recurring executive reporting packages, KPI reporting, board presentations, and investor reporting.
Build trustworthy relationships with key individuals from acquisition targets and within eMed.
Develop a breadth of knowledge around eMed operations, its partners, payers, and the overall digital point of service sector.
Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling as needed.
Partner with department leaders on financial planning, resource allocation, and special projects as needed.
