About The Position

Performs screenings, collects data, and contributes to the care plan under the direction of a Registered Nurse. May assist with a variety of patient care activities and interventions for inmates within the confines of a jail or detention facility.

Requirements

• Current license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas.
• Current CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a vocational nurse program.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interviewing and data collection techniques.
• Technical competence in tasks within the scope of practice of a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Ability to read and comprehend English well enough to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
• Ability to use computers for documentation.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and security clearance required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as an LVN.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
