The primary purpose of this job position is to provide direct nursing care to residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. This supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The role involves administrative functions, charting and documentation, drug administration, personnel management, direct nursing care, staff development, safety and sanitation, equipment and supply management, and care plan and assessment coordination. The position requires a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state and current CPR certification. Knowledge and experience with PCC is preferred. The role also requires maintaining all required continuing education/licensing and remaining in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times. The position is full-time with a NOC shift opening.
