LVN, Wound Healing Center - PD/Days (8hrs)
About The Position
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities. The LVN works under the direction of the RN, Clinical II to provide patient care to patients receiving treatment in the Wound Healing Center. Specifically, the LVN works within their designated scope of practice to support the comfort and healing of Wound Healing Center patients. LVN will fill in as needed for wound care nursing in the outpatient setting. Center provides wound care to the community for various wound types along with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments.
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse Certification required
- AHA BLS CPR required
Nice To Haves
- 1 Year experience working as an LVN in an outpatient setting preferred
- Experience with Hyperbaric Treatment preferred
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently assist the Registered Nurses with routine patient care interventions.
- Demonstrates the ability to competently perform the therapeutic interventions within the Wound Healing Center.
- Utilizes specified equipment related to patient care safely.
- Demonstrates active knowledge of Wound Healing Center standards.
- Other duties as assigned
