LVN, Surgical Cardiac Progressive Care Unit
About The Position
We are looking for skilled LVNs to join our combined Surgical Cardiac Progressive Care unit at our downtown Fresno campus! In this 47-bed unit, you will care for a diverse patient population with various surgical cardiac comorbidities, including post-open heart, Left Ventricular Assist Device, Pulmonary Hypertension trauma, and more! You should be a self-motivated team player eager to learn and ready to contribute to the efforts of this close-knit team. As the region's flagship hospital, this USCF academic-affiliated facility is home to the only Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke and Comprehensive Burn Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento — serving as the area's "safety net provider" and covering nine counties. We are the only health system with the expertise and cutting-edge technology to handle the most challenging, complex cases in the Central Valley. Requirements
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program OR become licensed by equivalency required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required
- LVNIVTX - IV Therapy Certification (LVN) required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position
