About The Position

WTCR is seeking an LVN Staff Nurse to join their team and make a difference on the front lines of the opioid crisis. WTCR is a long-serving medication-assisted treatment network in Texas, providing methadone and buprenorphine treatment and counseling for individuals suffering from Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). The mission is to enhance the quality of life for patients, helping them disrupt the cycle of OUD and achieve long-term recovery. The staff nurse will perform assigned nursing duties under the supervision of a WTCR physician, including patient assessment, medication administration, inventory management, and medical order management.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved LVN education program.
Licensed in good standing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (or equivalent) in the State of Texas.
Satisfactory criminal history and registry clearances.
Satisfactory pre-employment drug screen as required by the State of Texas.

Nice To Haves

Experience in behavioral health care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned nursing duties, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, under the direct supervision of a WTCR physician.
Provide required information about the clinical situation of patients.
Administer medications.
Assess patients.
Manage inventory.
Manage medical orders.
Administer medications accurately and efficiently.
Assist in determining the physical and mental health status of patients through patient observation, assessment, and collection of health-related data.
Administer required lab tests, obtain urine toxicology screens, and/or draw blood or other bodily fluids from patients as ordered.
Maintain accurate medication and inventory records.
Use a uniform language of case presentation when discussing patient cases.
Communicate respectfully with patients and members of the treatment team.
