About The Position
Cornerstone Retirement Community, affiliated with Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), is seeking PRN LVNs to join their team. Cornerstone is a leader in continuing care retirement living, offering independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and home health. They are Texarkana's only 5 STAR Community and are certified in the Eden Alternative Registry, focusing on person-directed care. The role involves directing and coordinating CNA activities, performing basic daily nursing functions, issuing medications, and meeting resident nursing needs efficiently and with high quality care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited vocational school of nursing
- Current Texas or Texas compact LVN/LPN license required
- Knowledgeable of human development, including the processes of aging, and of social and health problems confronting older persons
Nice To Haves
- Training or experience in geriatric, psychiatric or medical/surgical nursing
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate activities of CNAs
- Perform basic daily nursing functions
- Issue proper medications
- Meet the nursing needs of our residents in an efficient, economical, and caring manner- while maintaining high standards and quality care
