About The Position
Licensed Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider a per diem weekend position with Liberty Healthcare’s mental health program at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility – a Riverside County jail. This program provides mental health evaluation and treatment services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse or Psychiatric Technician
- Experience working in a mental health setting
Responsibilities
- Providing basic nursing care to jail inmates
- Administering IV and oral medications
- Providing health education
- Observing and documenting health status
- Collaborating with security staff
- Ensuring program clients receive high quality health services
