About The Position

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full time Quality Assurance (QA) LVN Nurse position in the Houston area. A Quality Assurance LPN/LVN is responsible for assuring quality control of all health services provided by the Agency and for reviewing documentation for compliance and appropriateness of care.

Requirements

Associate degree (A.A.), or equivalent from a two (2) year college.
At least one year’s experience in hospice, home health or a related field.
Current State LPN or LVN license.
Ability to speak and write effectively.
Ability to work well with other disciplines to coordinate patient care.
Ability to travel - must have reliable transportation.
Clean background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Assuring quality control of all health services provided by the Agency.
Reviewing documentation for compliance and appropriateness of care.
Preparing forms for pre and post payment audits.
Reviewing nurses’ notes for completeness, compliance with physicians’ orders, authorized services, and regulations.
Reviewing admission packets.
Reviewing all POC and re-certification for accuracy, order updates, frequency updates, goal updates, medication profiles review, format and wording, diagnoses update, and C.N.A. care plan.
Conducting one-on-one in-services for documentation problems as needed.
