About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide patient care, technical services, and supportive services in a clinical setting under general supervision. The LVN supports the organization’s philosophy and follows its protocols, policies, and procedures. The role may temporarily require work at any satellite facility and includes other duties as directed.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
Current California Vocational Nurse license.
Current Basic Life Support card issued through the American Heart Association.
Adherence to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health and immunization requirements, or provision of a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.

Nice To Haves

Current I.V. certification.
Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care functions prescribed by a provider, following established protocols, policies, and procedures and working within the scope of education, training, and responsibilities.
Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams.
Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and notify the provider for disposition.
Prepare and administer medications as directed by provider orders or standing orders, following established protocols.
If state certified, initiate and maintain intravenous solutions as prescribed by a provider and following established protocols.
Maintain equipment and supplies and identify and arrange for equipment needing repair.
Apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control.
Monitor patient flow and assign or direct other personnel as needed.
Provide patients with medical information and education in accordance with established protocols and policies.
Document pertinent patient information, assessments, and nursing procedures according to established protocols, and maintain patient confidentiality.
On a temporary basis, work at any satellite facility as required.
Perform other duties as directed.
