About The Position

Inter-Con Security Systems is hiring a part-time Level 1 Officer in Houston, Texas. The officer will support security operations at a client site, helping protect critical facilities, infrastructure, people, and assets. The role may involve indoor or outdoor work and requires prolonged standing and walking. Officers receive training in enhanced security procedures and use of security technology. Responsibilities

Perform all duties of a Level 1 Security Officer.
Complete and pass a driving skills class as a Tier-2 driver.
Patrol and monitor the site’s 4,000 acres, 12-mile perimeter, and nine gates.
Register test vehicles entering or leaving the site.
Respond to emergencies, including animal or vehicle accidents, medical incidents, fires, and hazardous-material incidents.
Prepare incident reports with photos via text page.
Issue hot work permits when a Level 2 officer is not on duty, subject to out-of-classification provisions.
Coordinate shipping and receiving traffic.
Escort visitors onto the property when they lack Tier-2 driving training.
Monitor deer hunters on the property.
Contact employees on a deer waiting list and escort them as needed.
Inspect oil wells and storage tanks or refinery areas.
Respond to hazardous-material incidents.
Inspect critical site equipment readings, including temperatures, fire-system readings, and fuel levels.
Participate in the site vehicle accident team and investigate motor vehicle accidents.
Work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and work overtime as directed.
