About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a LVA Copper Installer 1st shift. The Assembler III – Copper Installer is responsible for performing assembly, complex wiring, and copper fabrication operations required to produce subassemblies and final assemblies for Medium Voltage Control (MVC) equipment. This role ensures all copper installations, electrical connections, and mechanical assemblies meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The position also verifies the electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds at waist, shoulder, and overhead levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in copper fabrication, installation, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings.
  • Prior experience in electrical assembly or power distribution equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, assemble, and repair copper layouts and related components.
  • Fabricate and install layout copper to support customer-specific connection requirements.
  • Ensure copper connections are properly braced and comply with all bracing specifications.
  • Maintain required electrical and mechanical clearances throughout the assembly process.
  • Install and wire electrical devices according to bills of material, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Perform visual and functional inspections to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment for self and others.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
