About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, motivating, and developing the sales team while driving new and pre-owned vehicle sales, customer satisfaction, profitability, and overall dealership performance. This position plays a key role in creating an exceptional, personalized luxury automotive experience for every Jaguar and Land Rover client. The Sales Manager will lead by example and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, product knowledge, customer service, and attention to detail while representing the premium image and values of Paretti Jaguar Land Rover New Orleans.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive sales management experience strongly preferred.
  • Luxury automotive sales or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to backfill Finance Manager role as demand dictates.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales, customer satisfaction, and profitability objectives.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales processes and dealership operations.
  • Experience with CRM systems, lead management, and customer follow-up.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed monthly sales, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales department and maintain a professional, organized, and customer-focused environment.
  • Create a welcoming, polished, and luxury-focused showroom experience.
  • Set the standard for professionalism, client engagement, product knowledge, and follow-through.
  • Deliver a personalized, high-touch experience to every client from initial contact through vehicle delivery and follow-up.
  • Assist Sales Executives with customer presentations, product demonstrations, negotiations, trade evaluations, and closing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Monitor sales performance, inventory, leads, appointments, showroom traffic, customer follow-up, and sales activity.
  • Ensure all customer interactions reflect the standards and expectations of a luxury automotive brand.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of current Jaguar and Land Rover products, features, technology, options, accessories, incentives, and programs.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching sessions, and one-on-one performance reviews.
  • Train, mentor, and develop Sales Executives in luxury selling techniques, product knowledge, client retention, professional presentation, and customer follow-up.
  • Work closely with Finance and Insurance to ensure a smooth and professional transition from the sales process through vehicle delivery.
  • Partner with Service, Parts, and other dealership departments to provide clients with a seamless ownership experience.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and CSI results and take proactive steps to address concerns and improve the client experience.
  • Review sales reports, gross profit, closing ratios, lead conversion, appointment performance, and other key performance indicators.
  • Develop sales strategies and establish objectives in coordination with dealership leadership.
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retaining high-quality sales professionals.
  • Ensure all sales staff follow dealership policies, procedures, manufacturer standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain high standards for vehicle presentation, showroom appearance, and overall dealership image.
  • Assist with inventory management, pricing strategies, vehicle merchandising, and monthly sales objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required sales documentation.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, integrity, and excellence throughout the sales department.
  • Maintain strong communication with dealership leadership regarding sales performance, opportunities, challenges, and staffing needs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by dealership management.
