About The Position

This position is for a Lunchroom Clerk at Encompass Heights Elementary School. The role involves supporting the educational environment by performing various duties. The district reserves the right to modify or change the duties or the essential functions of this job at any time. The position requires consistent attendance, performance of assigned duties, and achieving proficient evaluations. The role involves designing and delivering learning experiences for students, organizing and facilitating the learning process, participating in a community of learning, evaluating student progress, and collaborating to improve learning opportunities. Specific duties include instruction aligned with standards, developing and implementing lessons, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment, adapting teaching for diverse learners, planning and delivering effective instruction, assessing student learning, integrating technology, establishing high expectations, promoting critical thinking, modeling communication, demonstrating professionalism, and responding to complex environments. The role also includes assessing student progress, complying with laws and policies, ensuring student supervision, implementing district philosophy, instructing and differentiating for all student needs, maintaining records, being available to students and parents, managing materials, performing non-instructional duties, planning programs, supervising support staff and volunteers, responding to safety/crisis situations, and using technology for professional responsibilities. The position requires effective conflict resolution and reflection on professional practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.)
  • Meets subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education and Academy District 20 requirements
  • Academy District 20, Teacher License: Initial - Colorado Department of Education
  • Teacher License: Professional - Colorado Department of Education
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and to learn functionality of new equipment and systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to create, access, input, retrieve, and manipulate information in various software systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from many diverse backgrounds and professions including supervisors, administrators, coworkers, staff, students, parents, and the general public

  • Develops and implements lessons that connect to a variety of content areas and disciplines; emphasizes literacy and mathematical practices
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the content, central concepts, inquiry, appropriate evidence-based instructional practices, and specialized characteristics of the disciplines being taught
