About The Position
Falling Branch Elementary, part of Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia, is seeking a part-time Lunch/Recess Aide. This role involves maintaining order among children during lunch and recess, assisting students to and from the cafeteria and playground, performing general housekeeping in the cafeteria, and supporting cafeteria staff. The aide will also communicate with teachers regarding student behavior during recess and assist teachers with other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and co-workers
- Previous experience working with children
- Dependability and punctuality required
Responsibilities
- Maintains order among children.
- Assists in the directing of students to and from the cafeteria.
- Performs general housekeeping in the cafeteria.
- Assists cafeteria staff with any other necessary duties.
- Assists in the directing of students to and from the playground and classroom.
- Communicates with teachers about student behavior during recess.
- Assists teachers with any other necessary duties.
