About The Position

Hemingway's Restaurant at the Holiday Inn Oceanside is seeking a full-time Lunch/Dinner Server. This role is ideal for candidates with excellent communication skills, who enjoy a fun and fast-paced work environment, and possess a passion to serve others. We are looking for associates who want to grow their career in hospitality, with cross-training available in other positions. The Outlet Server is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. This includes receiving and delivering guest orders and collecting payment.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age
Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to communicate effectively in a positive, upbeat fashion
Possessing interpersonal skills with focused attention to guests needs
Ability to check transactions accurately and efficiently
Basic math skills
Ability to withstand prolonged standing
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs
Flexible availability; able to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Efficiently and accurately take and deliver orders while interacting with guests
Learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests
Check-in with guests to ensure that they have everything they need
Clean dirty dishes from the table
Maintain assigned areas by keeping them clean and free of debris
Track guests while they move around the pool area
Work with other servers and be a team player
Perform cashiering functions by closing checks and preparing end of shift paperwork
Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean
Demonstrate superior guest service skills by presenting a friendly, relaxed, and professional demeanor
Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while meeting business demands
