Requirements

Previous lumber yard, building materials, or construction industry experience strongly preferred.
Forklift experience required.
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Knowledge of lumber products, dimensions, and material handling practices preferred.
Must have basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Distribution center or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
Must be able to work effectively as a team member.
Clean driving record.
Candidates with lumber yard, construction supply, truss, millwork, or building materials experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

Prior lumber, building materials, or construction material handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
Safely handling, staging, and loading lumber, plywood, engineered wood products, and other building materials.
Assisting with material handling in the yard and at customer job sites.
Accurately counting and reconciling incoming and outgoing materials.
Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Assisting customers in a courteous and professional manner.
