About The Position

Boundary Consumers Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Lumber Manager at our Home Centre in Deloraine, Manitoba. Co-op does business differently. The successful applicant will be responsible for the complete day-to-day operations of the Home Centre Lumber Department.

Requirements

  • Experienced in leading a team with a focus on customer service.
  • Large knowledge base of the various products sold within the lumber department.
  • 3 - 5 years management experience.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Results-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
  • Oversee adherence to brand and merchandising standards, marketing efforts, image standards, safety, and asset protection.
  • Responsible for the procurement of merchandise and ensures all ordering schedules are followed and inventory control programs meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring the proper receiving and warehousing procedures are in effect.
  • Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
  • Develop, review, and obtain approval of annual operating budgets to ensure adherence and appropriate utilization of funds.
  • Manages growth of sales to improve profitability and makes recommendations and oversees store pricing, promotions, and products.
  • Provide recommendations for major maintenance repairs and expense items and ensure the store maintains proper housekeeping.
  • Duties will include responsibility for customer service, customer project quotations, budgets, sales, margins, supervising employees, overseeing delivery of products along with responsibility for overseeing ordering, receiving, managing inventory and merchandising.
  • Other duties as assigned.
