About The Position

The Lumber Associate's duties include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service, gaining product knowledge, delivering product, merchandising, and controlling shrink. This role involves daily pay options through DailyPay, offering employees more control over their earnings.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or One to three months related experience and/or training; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively to customers and Associates.
Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
Must have a CDL license. (Dependent on location)
Safety Training, Hazardous Communication Training, Forklift Training (Provided at store level)
Safety Cutter
Closed toe shoes
Dress per store policy
Power and hand saws
Ear plugs or sound dampening headphones

Good Driving Record (Dependent on location)

Responsibilities

Provide amazing customer service
Knows use of products offered
Quality assurance checks of product
Operate a 2 ton truck on streets and highways (dependent on location)
Safely maneuver around the lumberyard and job sites
Hand unloads material like drywall, shingles, plywood, etc.
Proper handling of product
Promote and support established programs
Day to day operational procedures to ensure stock level, inventory, and cleanliness
Communicate with and receive product from approved vendors
Promote Sales
Follows all store and department policies and procedures
Follows safety policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
