About The Position

This position will be responsible for multiple tasks relating to trouble shooting, lubricating and preventive maintenance of all facility equipment. Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems. Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. Complete appropriate paperwork and reports. Must comply with lockout/ tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs. Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision. Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to adhere to Tyson Foods' safety policies and procedures.
  • Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity. It can be dusty, warm, cold and/or humid.
  • Physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, the ability to climb ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and working at heights to excess of 150 ft. as well lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 100 lbs.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork such as SAP, equipment tracking logs, and daily equipment check sheets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all hourly team members and members of management in person and on the radio.
  • Must have at least 6 months of continuous work history with the same employer within the last 24 months.
  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Resume/Application Required.
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
