About The Position

Subaru of Spokane is seeking a Lube Technician to join their busy, customer-focused dealership. This full-time position is located onsite in Spokane, WA, and reports to the Fixed Operations Manager. The dealership is committed to delivering exceptional service and quality automotive care, offering a supportive team environment, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth. The service department operates Monday-Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The schedule for this role will be discussed during the interview, consisting of 4 shifts at 10 hours each, including Saturdays.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of automotive experience in a dealership or quick lube environment (personal experience or completed trade school for Automotive Technology will be considered).
  • Desire to produce and be part of a high-output team.
  • Comfort in operating several cars, light trucks, and vans, with an ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Working knowledge of computers and technology. Comfortability in navigating computer and dealership technologies.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge to grow with us and meet projected service goals.
  • Adept to handle high-volume and adapt to our needs.
  • Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
  • High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays.
  • Must be able to work 4 shifts at 10 hours each.

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and multipoint vehicle inspections.
  • Check and maintain fluid levels, including transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant systems.
  • Inspect tires, brakes, batteries, belts, hoses, and other vehicle components for wear and safety concerns.
  • Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
  • Assist with shop maintenance and support the service team as directed.
  • Continuously learn and develop automotive skills with opportunities for training and career growth.
  • Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training as directed by management.
  • Constructively communicate with dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.
