About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and perform preventive maintenance services that help keep guests safe on the road. No previous automotive experience is required. The company provides hands-on instruction through its award-winning training program, covering oil changes, fluid checks and refills, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, light and wiper inspections and replacement, 18-point maintenance checks, and other preventive maintenance services. The role offers hands-on training and support, with the potential to advance to Service Center Manager within 18–24 months. The position is at 450 Clairton Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. The work environment is non-climate-controlled, and schedule flexibility is needed. Weekend availability is likely; late-night hours and holidays are not worked.

Be able to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
Be fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
Be able to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform oil changes.
Check and refill vehicle fluids.
Rotate tires.
Test and replace batteries.
Inspect and replace lights and wipers.
Perform 18-point maintenance checks.
Perform other preventive maintenance services.
