About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and preventative maintenance services that help keep guests safe on the road. The role offers hands-on support and training through an award-winning program; previous automotive experience is not required. Training covers oil changes, checking and refilling fluids, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, light and wiper inspection and replacement, 18-point safety checks, and other preventative maintenance services. The position is part time and pays $14.50 per hour with weekly pay. The company highlights opportunities for career advancement, including the potential to become a Service Center Manager within 18–24 months. Work is in a non-climate-controlled environment and requires schedule flexibility, with weekend availability likely. Late-night work and holidays are not required.

Requirements

Be able to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.

Be able to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventative maintenance services on vehicles.
Change oil.
Check and refill fluids.
Rotate tires.
Test and replace batteries.
Inspect and replace lights and wipers.
Perform 18-point safety checks.
