About The Position

Greenway Ford of KC is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to perform routine vehicle maintenance and service. The technician services vehicles assigned by management while following established standards and procedures. Duties include oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, checking and replacing fluids and filters, and completing other minor maintenance procedures. The role provides an opportunity to begin or progress a career in automotive service. The technician must provide their own tools.

Requirements

Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
Positive, friendly attitude and a proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
Strong interpersonal skills for professional interaction with customers, vendors, and staff.
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Personal and professional integrity.
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
Must provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

Quick Lube service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Check vehicle fluids and maintenance-related parts, and top off or replace fluids, filters, or parts as needed.
Perform routine service inspections or tests and complete standard maintenance jobs.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness while performing service or repairs.
Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
Follow shop policies, procedures, safety rules, and environmental rules.
Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and support efficient shop operations, including inventory stocking and other general functions.
Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform assigned tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
