About The Position

Oldham County Stone, a Rogers Group Inc. operation located in Crestwood, KY, is seeking a night shift Heavy Equipment Lube Technician. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational readiness of heavy equipment within an underground limestone mine/quarry. The position requires a strong emphasis on safety and the ability to work independently. Rogers Group, Inc. is a leading privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company with a long history and a significant presence across 13 states.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background requirements.
  • Ability to provide valid documentation to satisfy I-9 employment eligibility requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, climb, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and perform work at heights up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with heavy equipment, diesel equipment, automotive maintenance, farm equipment, military vehicle maintenance, or industrial equipment.
  • Previous experience performing lubrication, preventative maintenance or servicing heavy equipment.
  • Experience working around construction, quarry, mining, or industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with grease systems, fluid levels, filters, and preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Experienced candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performing lubrication, preventative maintenance, and servicing of heavy equipment.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Monitoring grease systems and fluid levels.
  • Replacing filters as part of maintenance routines.
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Working in fast-paced environments with exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
  • Safely climbing ladders and performing work at heights up to 20 feet.
  • Assisting maintenance personnel and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Maintaining reliable transportation to and from work.
