LTL Operations Specialist

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in LTL Freight, logistics, or transportation operations
- Strong understanding of LTL carrier networks, pricing structures, and service levels
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Google Workspace
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills — able to present data and recommendations to senior leadership clearly.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated team player mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Nice To Haves
- Experience with other service levels and modes - including white glove and full truckload
- Familiarity with freight audit and payment processes.
- Background in supply chain finance or transportation accounting.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily LTL shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries
- Track and trace shipments, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor shipment performance and proactively resolve service failures before they impact customers.
- Resolve exceptions such as delays, damages, or lost freight in a timely manner
- Ensure accurate documentation, including bills of lading, proof of delivery, and other inspection documents when applicable
- Audit carrier invoices for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and file billing disputes to ensure proper cost recovery.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives and system optimizations
