About The Position

Lane Transit District (LTD) is seeking members for its STIF Advisory Committee. This committee advises and assists LTD in managing the Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF), prioritizing projects, and coordinating STIF-funded projects with other transportation programs to improve service delivery and reduce gaps. The committee's work is crucial for enhancing public transportation within LTD's service area and Lane County. More information is available at https://lanestif.org/.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable about the public transportation needs of residents or employees located within or traveling to and or from LTD's service area or Lane County.
• Must be a member of or represent one or more of the following categories: Local governments (including land use planners), People with disabilities, Veterans, Low-income individuals, Social equity advocates, Environmental advocates, Black, indigenous, and people of color, Bicycle and pedestrian advocates, People with limited English proficiency, Public health, social and human service providers, Transit users who depend on transit for accomplishing daily activities, Individuals age 65 or older, educational institutions, Public Transportation Service Providers, Non-profit entities which provide public transportation services, Neighboring Public Transportation Service Providers, Employers, or Major destinations for users of public transit.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist LTD in carrying out the purposes of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF).
• Prioritize projects to be funded by STIF monies received by the District.
• Advise LTD regarding opportunities to coordinate STIF-funded projects with other local or regional transportation programs and services.
• Improve transportation service delivery and reduce gaps in service.
