About The Position

The LTC Sales Representative is responsible for the continual development of business leads and securing new accounts. The position requires a thorough working knowledge of all areas of the pharmacy (dispensing, data entry, delivery, billing, consulting, and nursing) so as to be able to speak effectively on any topic which may be encountered on a sales call. The LTC Sales Representative must have an outgoing personality, excellent organizational skills and be resilient and persistent in the pursuit of new accounts. They must be creative in the development and use of sales tools and techniques. They are the first, and most often encountered, “face” of Pharmacy Solutions which prospective clients come in contact with so an enthusiastic positive approach is a must. The LTC Sales Representative acts as a role model of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision making at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years related sales experience and/ or training
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong in the development and use of sales tools and techniques
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Travel flexibility

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating yearly sales goals
  • Assist Director and Senior Management in creating annual sales goals
  • Implementation and accountability of sales goals
  • Develop and maintain monthly sales reports
  • Maintenance of a data base of prospective clients, their key personnel, current pharmacy vendor, contract terms, etc.
  • Make direct facility contacts, set up meetings with prospective and new accounts
  • Oversee yearly marketing program
  • Analyze markets, existing & potential, look for ways to expand focus beyond facilities
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, seminars to develop/maintain industry contacts
  • Set yearly budget
  • Oversee the ordering, maintenance and development of sales materials and approaches for various markets
  • Research and develop new markets
  • Purchasing promotional items
  • Oversee mailings, phone contacts of prospective clients
  • Schedule proposals, prepare presentation materials, coordinate presentation team
  • Familiarity with HTP processes and procedures for all pharmacy operations
  • Maintain sales department budget
