About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced LTC Manager to lead and grow RMS Energy's Load Tap Changer business. This role oversees department operations while driving business development, sales support, technical training, and parts strategy. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development, the LTC Manager develops and executes growth initiatives, expands service offerings, improves operational performance, and identifies new market opportunities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong expertise in transformers and Load Tap Changers, as well as a proven track record of building teams and executing strategies that drive long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in operations, field service, or project management in electrical power systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of power transformers and Load Tap Changer systems
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business plans, operational strategies, and growth initiatives
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, projects, or business operations
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management and business development
  • Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Proven success growing a service line, department, or business unit within the electrical utility or power industry
  • Demonstrated ability to develop technical training programs and mentor field service personnel

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Load Tap Changer (LTC) department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
  • Develop and execute the department's business strategy, growth initiatives, and operational goals
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development to expand services and drive new business opportunities
  • Provide technical leadership and support for customer engagements, project scoping, and proposal development
  • Oversee technical training, employee development, and department performance
  • Manage parts, inventory, and resources to support efficient field operations
  • Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise in Load Tap Changer maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modernization, and field services
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
  • Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
