This is a Full-Time Overnight LPN position at the Catasauqua Facility. The pay range is $30 to $34 per hour before differentials. The role involves instructing and guiding chemical dependency technicians, orienting new employees, providing feedback to students/interns, conveying information to staff, seeking direction from physicians, completing nursing assessments, handling transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, and medication administration. The LPN will also monitor vital signs, follow detox protocols, assist medical doctors, provide medical lectures, report unusual occurrences, ensure appropriate room assignments, participate in staff meetings, maintain medical equipment, and serve as a team builder. OT options are available, and the ability to work rotating holidays is required.

Requirements

  • Current LPN license in good standing in Pennsylvania.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Substance Use Disorder treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct and guide chemical dependency technicians in client care responsibilities and assignments.
  • Orient new employees to unit-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide constructive feedback and direction to students/interns on the unit.
  • Convey accurate information in a supportive and courteous manner to nursing and tech staff.
  • Seek supervision and direction from physicians as needed.
  • Complete nursing assessments under the direction of the RN.
  • Handle transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, and medication administration.
  • Monitor vital signs and follow detox protocols.
  • Assist medical doctors as needed and provide medical lectures.
  • Report any unusual occurrences to the nurse supervisor/program director promptly.
  • Ensure room assignments are appropriate to clients' needs.
  • Actively participate in departmental staff meetings.
  • Maintain medical equipment in proper working order, while preserving confidentiality and proper boundaries.
  • Serve as a team builder, driving continuous improvement projects with excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
