The LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) is responsible for directing the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. This role ensures that all nursing personnel assigned comply with established policies and procedures, participates in the facility's quality assurance program, and assists in resident care, documentation, and medication administration. The LPN also plays a role in staff development, safety, and maintaining a positive environment for residents and staff.
