About The Position

Gloucester Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team in Gloucester, Virginia. This role involves providing direct clinical care under the supervision of the office manager, RN, or clinical lead, and physicians. The LPN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Duties include taking manual vitals, medication review, administering injections, and drawing blood. The position requires utilizing communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to develop patient care plans that consider physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. The LPN may also supervise and delegate tasks to non-professional personnel to ensure optimal patient care. Competence in addressing age-related needs of specific patient populations is essential. The role operates within Riverside Medical Group, a large and growing multi-specialty group practice in Virginia, known for its extensive network and use of an advanced electronic medical record system. Requirements

• Education required to meet licensure requirements.
• Licensed Practical Nurse or board eligible by the State of Virginia or compact state.
• Current CPR Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care of assigned patients.
