Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP) is a private, non-profit, social service agency serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping individuals and families facing substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and homelessness, with a mission to restore hope, health, and wellbeing in a compassionate, dignified, and respectful recovery environment. Since 2014, RNP has been a provider of Connecticut Medical Assisted Treatment (MATS) within the State correctional system, administering methadone. The North Star Recovery program, initially at Bridgeport Correctional Center, has expanded and will now include Garner Correctional Center in Newtown. The agency is seeking both full-time and part-time Addiction Counselors. The role may involve significant time at the Center for Human Services (CHS) in Stratford, CT, which serves as the program's hub. The ideal candidate will possess clinic counselor skills applicable in a correctional setting and must collaborate professionally with Department of Correction (DOC) staff, particularly DOC Addictions Counselors. CHS is a CARF-accredited, Department of Public Health licensed program offering medication-assisted treatment (methadone or buprenorphine/suboxone) and supportive counseling, along with other support and referral services. Services include individual counseling for drug use/abuse, personal/family, employment, health, and legal issues, as well as group and family counseling, intensive outpatient services, and psychiatric care.
