About The Position
Trio Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide competent, compassionate, personalized care at one of its healthcare centers in Virginia. The role involves observing residents, documenting and reporting changes in their conditions, administering prescribed medications or intravenous fluids, providing basic care and treatments, collecting samples for routine laboratory testing, and assisting residents with daily activities and mobility. The LPN evaluates nursing intervention outcomes and consults with other healthcare team members as needed. The position is described as a dayshift role from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Licensure required by state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Observe residents and chart and report changes in their conditions, including adverse reactions to medication or treatment, taking necessary action.
- Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, and record times and amounts on residents’ charts.
- Provide basic resident care and treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, and treating bedsores.
- Collect samples from residents and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, moving in bed, and standing or walking.
- Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and confer with other healthcare team members as needed.
