About The Position
Delaware Hospice is seeking PRN LPNs for homecare in New Castle County. New graduates are welcome, and hospice or homecare experience is not required for applicants who are willing to receive training. The LPN is a member of the interdisciplinary team providing hospice services to patients and families and uses the nursing process to provide quality nursing care in accordance with Delaware Hospice policy. Nurses may care for pediatric patients. Specialized training and orientation are available for nurses interested in the Katybug program, which supports children from perinatal age through young adulthood with pain and symptom relief at home and provides families with practical resources and emotional support.
Requirements
- Current LPN license in the State of Delaware.
- For New Castle County, maintain a Pennsylvania license as well.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in hospice nursing preferred.
- Nursing experience in hospice or home care preferred.
- New graduates are welcome to apply; hospice or homecare experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice services to patients and families as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Use the nursing process to provide quality nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with Delaware Hospice policy.
- May provide care to pediatric patients.
- For nurses on the Katybug team, help provide in-home pain and symptom relief and support for children and their families.
