This position prepares and rooms patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information. The LPN performs laboratory procedures, assists physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administers medications under physician/provider orders. They provide basic patient education, manage procedure/test requests, and communicate with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks such as suture removal, catheterization, and wound care may be performed. The role also involves organizing and preparing exam rooms, stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and completing routine maintenance and quality monitoring. Participation in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities is expected. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge and skills for age-appropriate patient care, understanding growth and development principles.
