About The Position
Oak Creek Rehabilitation, a skilled nursing facility in Kimberly, Idaho, is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for the day shift, 6 AM to 6 PM. The role provides professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. The nurse works with the health care team to follow each resident’s care plan and personal wishes.
Requirements
- LPN license in good standing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
- Notify the resident’s physician and/or family members when the resident’s condition changes.
- Provide nursing services such as tube feedings, suction, catheterization, dressing changes, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Advocate for residents and ensure other health care team members provide care according to the resident’s care plan and personal wishes.
- Complete required charting accurately and in a timely manner.
