About The Position
South Ogden Post Acute is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join its nursing team at a skilled nursing facility in South Ogden, Utah. This role works the day shift from 6 AM to 6 PM and provides nursing care to geriatric residents who require 24/7 care. The facility describes its team as supportive and offers an opportunity to grow as a nurse.
Requirements
- LPN license in good standing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Order medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed.
- Prepare and administer treatments and medications as ordered by the physician.
- Notify the resident’s physician and/or family members when there is a change in the resident’s condition.
- Provide professional nursing services, including tube feedings, suction, catheterization, and changing dressings, packs, and irrigations as necessary.
- Continuously observe and monitor seriously ill residents.
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure other health care team members provide care according to the resident’s care plan and personal wishes.
- Complete required charting accurately and in a timely manner.
