About The Position

Works under general supervision in delivering technical nursing care to assigned patients. Administers prescribed treatments following approved nursing procedures.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, and nursing interventions necessary for delivering technical nursing care
  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse program and current Indiana licensure or awaiting Indiana State Board testing results for Indiana LPN licensure or reciprocity for Indiana licensure
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer experience

Nice To Haves

  • One-year experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists in providing nursing care to patients.
  • Plans appropriate nursing measures based on short-term patient needs.
  • Under direction of the Clinical Coordinator, reinforces patient education as patient presents readiness to learn.
  • Floats to other units within the practice when a need is indicated.
  • Communicates effectively and establishes/maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
  • Knowledgeable in the growth and developmental needs of infants through geriatric patients.
  • Follows Universal Precautions.
  • Successfully passes practice specific competencies.
