About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider. The role uses the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare’s Mission and Vision Statements and works within the scope of the LPN license and the organization’s policies and procedures. The LPN demonstrates professional growth and accountability, guides ancillary staff, and collaborates with other health care professionals to provide quality nursing care. The position blends compassion, caring, and technologically appropriate competency to provide holistic patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an LPN program.
• New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible.
• Current Georgia LPN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applied for.
• Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• For Emergency Department work, ALS/ACLS and PALS are required; LPNs new to the specialty must complete applicable certifications within six months of the start date. Experienced Emergency Department nurses have six months to obtain PALS certification.
