About The Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you are key in the success of operations and compassionate patient care every day. This role promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; and supervising assigned team members.

Requirements

• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - NYS Office of Professions
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Compassionate, warm and patient focused
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment
• Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior
• Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning.
• Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments.
• High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns.
• Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus.
• Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
• TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; perform various treatment procedures; provide physical, educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families; supervise assigned team members
• Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal from/to appropriate staff as per departmental protocols
• Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation using computerized medical record process
• Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked
