Pre-OP LPN (Full Time)

About The Position
This is a full-time position, working 32-40 hours per week, and includes full benefits. The role involves completing pre-operative assessments, starting patient IVs, administering medications (including injections), and documenting patient information in medical records according to nursing policies and procedures. The LPN will also recognize and respond to emergency situations and facilitate patient flow to maintain operating room schedule efficiency.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
- Hold an active state license.
- CPR Certification
- Ability to start patient IV
Nice To Haves
- One year experience in an acute care facility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Completes pre-operative assessments and starts patient IV
- Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical record.
- Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the efficiency of the operating room schedule
